VVA Chapter 343 Houston, Texas hosted the Texas State Council Meeting on June 5-7, 2009
The VVAFT Board of Directors meeting was held at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 5th. Besides normal business, the biennial election
was held. All four officers were re-elected along with those directors whose terms were up. There was one opening on the
board of directors due to the passing of Lucio Moreno & at the meeting another director was dismissed due to excessive unexcused
absences. Victor Flores (VVA Chapter 574 El Paso President) & Al Navarro (VVA Chapter 343) both submitted their resumes and requested
to be seated on the board. Both were given time to make their case on what they could bring to the board in terms of experience, etc.
Both were approved and seated on the board.
