| VVAFT's Operation Ed_U-Cate is a program set up by the foundation to help Texas VVA Chapters in funding their scholarship programs. Each years for the past 5 years VVAFT holds a contest and any Texas VVA Chapter is encouraged to participate. The contest is from the June Texas State Council meeting until the next years June TSC meeting. The deadline is just prior to the VVAFT Board of Directors meeting which is held on the Friday afternoon preceding the VVA Texas State Council meeting on Saturday |

| VVAFT makes quarterly donations in the form of a continuing grant to the Texas State Council for financial support of the operation of the VVA Service Offices at the Dallas VA Medical Center & Kerrville VA Medical Center, as well as other VVA VSO's around the state of Texas that do not work out of a VVA office at either hospital. This is a line-item grant and can only be used for the VVA Texas VSO Program |
