Other AVVA Meetings held in conjunction of the VVA Texas State Council Meetings
The Project  A.M.I.G.O. idea  was  conceived  by  the  former  AVVA  Nationa l President  Nancy Switzer,  the  name  was
inspired  by   a  former    VVA  National  Secretary  Lupe  Alviar  at   the February 1998 Texas State Council meeting in
Galveston, Texas. A.M.I.G.O. stands for: Associate Members Ideal Gift Operation. Suzie Meeks has chaired the program
since its inception.  At   each  Texas  State  Council Meetings  the  chapter  delegates bring  clothing, &  other  items of
necessity  that  have  been  donated by  their chapters  for  Project AMIGO,  which  are  then donated to a local homeless
organization in the city of the VVA Chapter that is hosting the  Texas State Council meeting.
