    The Vietnam Veterans Assistance Foundation of Texas, Inc. has been organized and will be operated
    exclusively as a publicly supported charitable organization to promote the social welfare of the
    community, assist disabled, ill, needy, and homeless veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces,
    their dependents, widows or widowers, and orphans of deceased veterans, and provide entertainment,
    care, and assistance to hospitalized veterans; to carry out programs to perpetuate the memory of
    deceased veterans and members of the U.S. Armed Forces and comfort their survivors; conduct
    programs for religious, charitable, scientific activities of a patriotic nature; to distribute property; and to
    extend financial aid and support through grants, gifts, contributions, or other aid or assistance to qualified
    Section 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) or 501(c)(19) non-profit organizations.

    This Request For Proposal (RFP), seeks proposals from community-based or other non-profit
    organizations and veterans' organizations to operate projects to benefit veterans and their dependents in
    two general areas of service.




    A. Individual Specific Assistance: Vietnam veterans who are experiencing family disruption due to the
    veteran's service-connected disability(s), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Agent Orange, or the
    lingering after-effects of his or her service in the Vietnam War. As well as other veterans and their
    dependents who have needs related to being disabled, homeless, or other chronic health conditions.

    B. Non-Profit Organizations that assist such veterans, their dependents as described above in the first

    C. The Texas State Council and/or Texas Chapters of Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc., with financial
    assistance when needed and applied for using  the RFP- Request the RFP  form above on this Contact
    Page]
